Tori spelling baby, The mom of four, who gave birth to her ‘miracle baby’ Finn Davey on Aug. 30, said she feared for her life when she was 20 weeks along and suffered severe bleeding. Luckily, daughter Stella, 4, was there to call for help!
Tori Spelling welcomed a healthy baby boy, Finn Davey, on Aug. 30, but the pregnancy with her fourth child was far from easy. The 39-year-old mom said her diagnosis with placenta previa, in which the placenta covers all or part of the cervix, led to a terrifying scare when she was 20 weeks along with baby Finn.
Tori was having a girls night in with daughter Stella, 4 — husband Dean McDermott was having a boys night in 5-year-old son Liam‘s room — when she woke up to find herself covered in blood.
“I stumbled to the bathroom, dizzy from losing so much blood,” she told People. “When I got there, I thought, ‘This is it.’”
Because Stella was the closest person nearby, she had to yell for her four-year-old daughter — and calmly tell her to get Dean, without frightening her little girl too much.
“I didn’t want to panic her, and I said, ‘Baby, will you go get Daddy? Just tell him I’m bleeding,’” Tori said. With her “eyes as big as saucers,” Tori said Stella ran for her dad, who came in moments later to take Tori to the hospital.
When she got to the hospital, doctors delivered even more devastating news — if they had to operate, they needed to put Tori’s life over the baby’s. Luckily, doctors were able to stop the bleeding, but Tori was ordered to remain in the hospital for 10 weeks on bed rest.
“My condition was so dangerous that I couldn’t even walk across my room; I had to lie flat,” she said. “But I committed. I was like, ‘I’m going to get this baby to a healthy point and we’re going to be a family.’”
Tori and her family kept her medical condition under wraps until the birth of baby Finn at the end of August. After her emergency surgery two weeks later, Tori is finally opening up about her dangerous ordeal — and credits her daughter for saving not only her life, but also the life of her newest baby boy.
