Reports of his imminent demise have been greatly exaggerated.

A year and a half after photos of a gaunt Macaulay Culkin sparked unsubstantiated rumors that the actor was battling a life-threatening drug addiction, the reclusive former "Home Alone" star surfaced looking extremely physically fit.

The 33-year-old actor surprised the crowd at New York Comic Con on Friday as part of the panel for the cartoon series, “Robot Chicken,” sporting a full beard, women’s sunglasses and pink animal ears.

Culkin, who voices several characters on the Adult Swim show, has kept a low profile in the business in recent years after being one of the most prolific child actors of all time.

"The best thing about Mac is that he had a better career by the time he was 14 than most of us have in our whole lives,” “Robot Chicken” co-creator Seth Green told the crowd at Comic Con, according to E! Online.

“If he spends four years, six years, not doing anything, he'll still be more relevant than anyone here."It was a rare public display for Culkin, who announced his retirement from movies at the ripe old age of 14 — only to return in 2003 for the film, “Party Monster.”

Actor Macaulay Culkin (L) and with then girlfriend, actress Mila Kunis, in 2005. The couple broke up in 2011 after eight years together.

His self-imposed exile from the business didn’t keep Culkin out of the gossip magazines, however. He made headlines after a 2004 bust for possession of marijuana and illegal prescription drugs.

And as a close, younger friend of Michael Jackson, Culkin was often vocal in his defense of the King of Pop against charges of pedophilia.

The beaming, clowning Culkin at Comic Con was a far cry from the rail-thin figure in the infamous Feb. 2012 picture that was featured on "Entertainment Tonight.".

“Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health,” a spokesman told the Daily News at the time, adding that speculation about the actor’s health was “reckless, thoughtless and irresponsible.”
