Deion sanders assault

Deion sanders assault
Deion sanders assault, A man filed a complaint with the Dallas Police Department alleging he was grabbed by the collar and pushed against a wall by former Cowboys star Deion Sanders at a charter school co-founded by the Pro Football Hall of Famer.

No arrest has been made and Sanders used his Twitter account to deny there was an assault. Dallas police declined additional comment.

The incident allegedly occurred Wednesday during a faculty meeting at Prime Prep Academy (Sanders' nickname is "Prime Time"). The Dallas Morning News reported that Sanders became upset that some student-athletes at the school were not doing well academically.

A police report identified the complainant as Kevin Jefferson, 39, of Dallas. Sanders was not named in the report, which referred only to Jefferson's allegations against the "suspect." The address on the report where the incident allegedly occurred is the address for Prime Prep Academy.

Sanders' Twitter account acknowledged only there was a confrontation.

"The Person claiming assault is a fake administrator whom does absolutely nothing to help the school kids or teachers reach our goals," said one of Thursday's comments on Twitter by @Deion Sanders.

Another tweet said: "I won't sit&witness my PrimePrep kids receive 2nds when they deserve the BEST EDUCATION!There was NO assault but a definite confrontation."

The police report said the suspect "became angry about the topic" during the meeting.

Jefferson told police that in response to the suspect's statements about him during the meeting he told him "he could not talk to him in that manner." Jefferson said he then stood up from his desk.

"At this time the suspect grabbed the complainant by the collar and pushed him into the wall hurting the right side of his back," said the police report, reciting the account from Jefferson.

"The complainant stated he hit his left hip on the desk after the suspect released his collar."

Jefferson told police that others in the meeting stopped the altercation and that he then went to a hospital. "(He) complained of soreness to the throat, right side of the back and his left hip," the report said.

The report also said the complainant flagged down police after leaving the hospital.

Sanders, 46, played as a defensive back in the NFL from 1989-2005 with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. He is a broadcaster with the NFL Network.
